Kaipara Flats Community Website Project
Redesign | Social Media | Multiple Club Pages | SEO
We were approached by members of this rural community to upgrade the community website with a new Responsive one which will work on mobile phones and tablets. As well as representing all the clubs and activities in the area, it provides a Marketplace for local businesses to promote themselves and presents a useful resource for residents and visitors alike – to find things to do, stuff they need or people to contact in the community.
As all the local clubs use facebook to organise themselves we created multiple feeds from all the different facebook pages and groups so that information on the website would always be updated automatically without anyone having to edit the website itself.
As part of the project we created a Kaipara Flats Community facebook group – which now has over 300 members and has proved an invaluable communication tool for the community during the extensive flooding events that are experienced in the valley.
The website also features online membership forms and has been part of the community restoration of the local Butchery, the oldest remaining shop building ion the village.
